Dear all,
Talked to father who was concerned that baby was not receiving enough
colostrum for the window for antibodies. He is a vet and spoke about
animals needing a certain amount of colostrum within a certain time frame
or the animal will not receive enough immunities to protect the newborn.
Vet test the colostrum and I believe the immunities. He was wondering if
there is concern in newborns. The only information I obtained through
looking in my books and literature is that research on animals does not
indicate the same is true in infants. That the nursling guts are different.
Does anyone know if there is a time window when absorption of the antibodes
is more effective at one time then another?
I hope I am clear enough.
