That particular insurance company, NYLcare, does indeed support
breastfeeding.  Two years ago when the Texas Dept. of Health brought
together representatives of many organizations to write an official
position statement on breastfeeding, NYLcare sent  a nurse.  She had to
fly in from Houston every month or so until the position statement was
completed.  That insurance company was the first of many to endorse the
statement.  I doubt we would have had that much insurance support
without their endorsement and hard work.

It's nice to remember when we are frustrated with the slow-turning
wheels of change that there are individuals within these mechanisms who
are helpful and supportive.
