Cindy says,
"made it a prescription med to replace claritin when it
went over the counter. More like a money making thing, not a new
drug."

Maybe it is money driven on the part of a manufacturer, but from a
consumer standpoint, making the drug OTC is not always a good
thing. I could get 3 months worth of a med with insurance coverage
for $20, but not that it is availableOTC, insurance won't cover and
it costs me that much for only 2 weeks worth! I tried going without
the med, and in my case I learned I can get along fine without it.
For others, however, the increased cost without insurance isn't such
a wonderful development!
Winnie
