I had a wonderful experience this weekend. My Co-Leader and I attended
an Information Fair presented for the Ft. Knox Community. While I do not
feel that the original intention of the presentation was accomplished,
the networking between professionals, para-professionals and volunteers
that were present was wonderful. I have lived here for 7 years and did
not know that many of the organziations existed. We also had many
"older" LLL people come and tell us about their participation and
experiences. We now have a speaker scheduled for our next meeting and
are excited and inspired to keep going in the community. Interaction
between disciplines is beneficial for the people involved! Don't shy
away from any opportuntity to present your information to the public, as
you may never know who you will encounter and how it will benefit you!
