Dear Friends:
When I was hospitalized for a ruptured ovarian cyst, I got better very
fast. Overnight, in fact. My surgeon wanted to keep me in the hospital for
antibiotic therapy. I wanted to go home on oral antibiotics and was concerned
about the insurance company refusing to pay for my stay if I did sign out
'against medical advice'. So I called them. They had no problem with me
leaving early, and paid for everything.
It probably works to their advantage to pay for less rather than more.
     WArmly,
