The recent article posted about DHA and AA in formula stated:
"In 2001 the FDA gave DHA and AA approval as Generally Recognized as
Safe."

I have heard that either the criteria for GRAS status has been
reduced allowing this "approval", or they have not received GRAS
status, but more of a "we don't mind if you add it, just let us know
of any problems".

Can someone clear this up before I really put my foot in my mouth?
