I suspect this has happened a number of times.  Around 30 years ago we
had a similar situation at the Milwaukee County Zoo.  A gorilla new mom
had no clue how to feed her baby.  Volunteer mothers would sit in the
next "cage" nursing their babies.  The gorilla started watching and soon
imitating.  The women were labeled "the M----- Moms" after the gorilla's
name which I can't recall at this time.  In hindsight I wonder if the
moms were undressed on top or if the gorilla figured it out even with
mom clothed.
