In response to the question, "Do other nurses see delayed milk production in
relationship to pitocin induction?"
It seems as though a mother cannot have a baby today unless she has pitocin.
I would say that at least 1/2 of the new babies I see are the product of a
pitocin related delivery. In my experience there does not seem to be any
problems with milk production after pitocin. I do see delayed milk
production when mother's have PIH, gestational diabetes
severe blood loss or other illnesses.
