Re Susan Moxley's comments, I do think there is a basis for concern about
the levels of iron in infant formulas. Already it is much lower in European
than in US formulas. A recent study by Loennerdal and others at Davis
suggested that even much lower levels than this are good enough to maintain
infant iron status and reduce the risk of iron interfering with absorption
of zinc and selenium.
