if our understanding of the physiology of making breastmilk changes, i sure
hope someone announces it in bigger letters so i can read it. i must have
missed the moment when someone announced that colostrum is distinct from
"breast milk." the last i heard there was colostrum in the milk for at least
fourteen days, the proportions slowly changing to mature milk. and if there
were a finite amount of colostrum in an individual mother's breast, then the
baby who nursed a lot and whose mother used compression, would empty the
breast and therefore be starving until "the milk" came in.

oh wait, that's what all the moms are told here. gosh! i must be from some
other nation after all. that second one.
