Besides R/O (r/o) - rule out and R/T r/t) related to I frequently use dx
for diagnosis or diagnose, rx for prescription, tx for treatment or
teaching, depending on context, and sx for symptoms. Another is S & S
signs and symtoms and SE for side effects. I didn't know the "wrestled
with the keyboard" either. Chele Marmet has a good list of abbreviations
in her materials. Came across some really good stuff on charting in
current "Counseling the Nursing Mother" (not related to abbreviations) just
telling you that I saw them. Anyone have any other common abbreviations
