Just to clarify, when I say more motherly, I refer to a woman's motherly potential in terms of biology rather than "she breastfed so she's more motherly than that woman there who did not..." like the many women who've posted said, if we believe in the power of breastfeeding for mother and baby then we should feel good (not ashamed) about encouraging a woman who has reservations to breastfeed ..or even exploring with her her dislike of it. because it can be a great healer. it can be deeply empowering, deeply life-changing...

i believe that breastfeeding helps women be mothers... not because its fashionable or good for one's image, but because this is what nature designed.

breastfeeding might possibly be the most valuable to the women who initially reject it or dislike it.

and when i say more human i do not mean more worthy. i simply refer to a human's ability to have intimate relationships, trust others, manage emotions, parent offspring, etc etc, i.e. more biologically stable//
