Thanks, Lorri, for your response about the postpartum psychosis/Haldol
(haloperidol)/BFing situation. You know, what you said really made me stop
and think. I'm not sure at all that I agree with the implication that she
should continue BFing in her current state as long as she takes the Haldol
(if that's what you were suggesting, which I know *isn't* exactly what you
said), but I really appreciate your response, because it made me take a step
back and examine my own assumptions.

I've been mulling this sad, hard situation all day, trying to come up with
what seems to me like a reasonable and satisfactory answer, concluding only
that I'm thankful that this wasn't something I was dealing with. But Lorri's
way of describing how we treat people when they're having a "break-down"
like this was like a shot of fresh cold air on my soggy brain. Still
mulling, still glad this situation isn't for me to judge, but thanks for
your clear and experienced perspective!
