I have personal experience with acne and breastfeeding. I had acne on my
upper arms while breastfeeding both my son and my daughter. With my son,
it went away a few days after he weaned. With my daughter, 19 months and
still nursing often, it went away around 14 months. I did not have it
during pregnancy. It started a few days after delivery. Whenever I have
minor facial "eruptions", I use breastmilk and it clears up faster than
anything I have tried. And it doesn't dry out the skin. I only wish it
had occurred to me to try it on my arms. I always assumed it was hormonal
and would eventually go away.
