Several months ago I researched the current data on how to best manage the
Near Term Babies (35 to 37 6/7 weekers).  The Academy of Breastfeeding
Medicine published their suggested management of these babies. I'd suggest
reviewing their recommendations to help you develop guidelines for your
facility.  It is extra work for the nurses and moms, but I have seen
definite long-term breastfeeding success by following these guidelines.
