I have had mothers reimbursed for rental pumps.  I have never had a mother
purchase a pump for medical reasons.  I seriously doubt that they would pay
for that though.

The key is in the coding on the form as to the reason the pump was
necessary.  We should also make sure we aren't having mothers send bills in
for pumps that aren't really necessary - the companies will become leary and
reluctant to pay for any if the necessary ones.
