In my postpartum doula work I tell mom's this which I read in Consumer
Reports:
Glass is safest unless you can find plastic bottles, not made from
polycarbonate plastic, which releases a plasticizer called bisphenal A
(endocrine disrupter); this includes pacifiers, toys, etc. Made from PVC,
which contains plasticizzers called phthalates? Consumer Reports or contact
Greenpeace at 1.800.326.0950 or www.greenpeaceusa.org
Feel free to dispute this if anyone knows better advice.
