Perfectly compatible with breastfeeding.  So, by the way are
antiinflammatory drugs.  She can get ibuprofen without a prescription.
I'm sorry to encourage her to self medicate, because I think the
relationship between a physician and his/her patient is important and
useful; but if the physician is not amenable to revisiting the question
of drugs and breastfeeding, this seems a reasonable approach by the
mother.
