My son was 8 lbs at birth, 14 lbs at 2 mos, 24 lbs at 6 mos, 28 lbs at
9 mos and 33 lbs at 1 yr! He was off the charts for weight and
length. He was exclusively BF and refused solids until he was 11 mos
old.

Weight for length, he was at 50%. Weight is the thing everyone talks
about, but rarely is length/weight calculated or discussed. He was
solidly muscular, not fat.

Anthropometric data can be misused/abused in any number of ways.
Absent any signs of *abnormal* development, I would not want to
subject a baby to testing because of size.
