Using a re birthing-type bathing experience(dim lighting, no
expectations, just a pleasant skin-to-skin contact to get back in touch)
at a time when the baby was already pretty mellow has helped some mothers
end a nursing strike around here....very important for mom to have a
helper in the house if she needs assistance, IMHO. Even if no nursing
ensues, mom and baby have gotten back in touch...literally.

This worked for a mom years ago--*she* did it on her own and *then* told
me! She held her baby tightly and spun in a chair until she was slightly
dizzy (again, helper needed nearby, just in case) and then put baby to
breast. He was so disorientated he forgot he was on a nursing strike and
went to town....end of strike. Has worked for many moms since..... :-o
