Hi Lactnetters,

I am sorry to write in again about the same problem, but could someone with
some experience with child sedation tell me how close to sedation time is it
safe to nurse. I'm suppossed to keep my 2 1/2 year old off of everything
after midnight for a dental procedure beginning with sedation at 9 AM. I'm
of a mind to nurse if he wants until about 5 AM. My recollection being that
4 hours is enough time for bm to digest. Is this accurate? I have no
current reference materials here on this issue and the dentist doesn't even
know I'm still nursing. He has already told me my child's decay is due to
"baby bottle tooth decay" from nighttime nursings. I really don't want to
discuss any other issues with him right now. By the way he is the only
person around me who is even remotely recommended by people I trust. I am
checking into some more distant areas, but nothing looks too promising. The
work is scheduled for next Wed.

Thanks for the help you've already given here,

Lisa
