Virginia reminds us of the way a feed can be affected by the setting.
Absolutely. Being watched, especially if you already have a known problem,
or think you have, or have been told you have,  may well affect the way the
baby feeds, or the transfer of milk.

When bf is going well, and mother and baby are confident and happy, this is
unlikely to be an issue.

But if it's already a bit dodgy, then test weighing could make the problem
appear even worse...and lead to unnecessary supplementation.

After all, blood pressure measurements are known to rise when tested in
hospital in a phenomenon known as 'white coat hypertension'....
