i have a g2p1 mom refferred to me at 35 weeks, has had a red sore lump in her breast, given antibiotics which seemed to relieve the reddness and immediate pain, but the lump persists, is tender.  the entire breast has non-tender lumps and the other breast is soft and milk is expressed easily.  the breasts are large pendulus, and she has no history of mastitis with the other child, did breastfeed a short time.  should we reccommend an ultra sound or wait until after delivery which will be in about 3 weeks.
