The quotes from the medical textbook from 1987 are in my opinion far worse
than institutional stupidity.  They should be grounds for serious complaints
(I hate to use the word malpractice again - perhaps peer review). Could you
imagine such misinformation about the risks of smoking in a medical textbook?
