        The current oral medications that are effective against candida
albicans include:
                Fluconazole(Diflucan)   (safe,  cleared for pediatric use)
                Itraconazole(Sporanox) (relatively safe,  no pediatric
indications)
                Griseofulvin(Fulvicin)  (old med, hepatic side effects, last
choice)
                Ketoconazole(Nizoral)  (relatively safe,  no pediatric
indications)
                Nystatin(Mycostatin)   (safe, cleared for pediatric use,
poor(no) systemic levels, poor
                                                        tissue penetration.)



                I have no knowledge about the green tint.  Use gentian
violet as a last resort.
