Jane, I would def, have that baby checked by a good Peds MD who will do a thorough exam to rule out any physical problems, reflux, ear infection, UTI, bowel issue, etc. Sounds like such an acute problem that just came out of nowhere so could be do to something else going on within the Baby. Not a low supply issue if she is pumping 5 ounces and I would agree probably not over supply with only pumping 5 ounces, but 5 ounces in how long 3 minutes or 10 minutes, could it be an overactive MER? Or did have a good active MER and now it has slowed down? Was there anything else going on, did the Baby get a series of vaccines? Emotional turmoil in the Home ? Lisa Mooney RN IBCLC
