If by "big round ones" is meant Avent or Munchkin, they do encourage
baby to open the mouth wider/flange the lips more than the most
common artificial nipple which baby uses with a "prissy" mouth.  If
by "anatomical" is meant the Nuk or orthodontic, I personally
discourage their use.  When I see a mom whose nipples have that
shape after baby lets go, I know the baby is doing something "funky"
with the tongue.  By using that shape nipple, I think we add
teaching baby ineffective tongue positions to all the other reasons
we want to avoid artificial nipples.
