Hello all! Should start by pointing out that I am a new Lacnet subscriber
and it's GREAT!!! Also, am on a "borrowed" address (my mom's). Anyway, my
question regarding the required contact hours is this: How does one aquire
them if one is not a nurse or other medical personnel? I will (hopefully)
be a LLLL soon, (Preview prep now),but am asking about how to aquire hours
besides these. Do any LC's do "internships" or work with volunteer "aides"
? LC's in my area very understanding but also interested in this issue.
Also, are hospital and clinics "biased" towards hiring only LC's who are
RN's. My B.A. is in Counseling Psychology. Any ideas and options welcomed.
