Quite frankly I think the analogy was a very good one in the fact that it
demonstrates exactly what bottles can do - they can help or they can kill
(especially when being filled with breastmilk substitutes in areas where NOT
breastfeeding can mean death).  

 

Sometimes we need an 'in your face, blatant and stark' analogy to get the
point across.  Not all people understand the issues with the WHO Code and
why and how it is being breached.  We have many new additions to the group
who are just beginning to learn about these things.  14 yrs ago it would
have taken a comment like Morgan's to help me truly understand this concept
- and her comment is fine - at least to me.  And if I hadn't liked it and
wanted to chastise her - I'd have e-mailed her privately.
