I am looking for some very specific information. I would like to locate program review, or research summary that 'quantifies' the increase in breastfeeding initiation and duration that is experienced by mothers who receive WIC as a result of the utilization of WIC Peer Counselors.

There is a ton of research out there which eludes to the 'increase' or 'improvement' of breastfeeding outcomes experienced by this population. I need to see the data that describes for example by what percentage to WIC mothers who are supported by WIC PC increase their breastfeeding initiation, duration, (and personally I would like to see exclusivity examined) when compared to mothers who receive WIC and do not have or use PC support.

I have dozens of articles, produced by WIC, the USDA, FNS, published in the JHL and other places, however I have yet to locate a statistic.

If you can help me you can e-mail offlist to [log in to unmask]

Thanks ahead!
