Hi Ilene,

Baby is too fat---stop breastfeeding. Baby is not gaining enough--
stop breastfeeding. How can breastfeeding be possibly to blame for
both these situations?!

All my babies just were about triple their birth weight by 6
months----they plateau here--and maybe gained a few more pounds by
the time they were one year.

One doctor told me to start feeding my son solids at 4 months to slow
his growth. Now, exactly how does that work?! I just smiled and of
course did not do as suggested. I was visiting my mom for a few
months and seeing a new doctor at the time. Btw, my children's
regular doctors never had issue with their weight.

Hope this helps.

Regards,
Gloria Thai, Va. USA
