Winnie raises a lot of good points in her post:

And the reason we don't have answers is because I believe the last reported
case of anthrax in the US in a human was 1978.  We do know it is not
transferred person to person -- that someone has to come in contact w/ the
actual spores.  So it would seem to me that if someone (say a person in the
CBS building or whatever) was in a room where a letter was opened, thorough
showering and washing her clothes before handling her baby should be all that
is necessary....

Penicillin and dicloxicillin (??) are also effective in treating those that
have been exposed to anthrax but I don't think they are as effective as Cipro
in actually treating those that have contracted the disease -- and there is a
difference.

Did any body think to buy stock in Bayer?
