If thrush is present in the breast and diflucan is ordered, do you also
recommend APNO or other external ointment as well?

I was talking with an ARNP today and she said that if she suspects a deep
interductal yeast infection that she skips the cream or ointment and goes
straight for the diflucan at a 14 day dose. I'm curious what the lactation
world thinks of this. Would you also recommend the APNO?

I love the knowledge I gain from this list as I hope that it improves my
future midwifery practice and helps me avoid the pitfalls of the stories of
midwives that have been related lately. It won't however, help my writing.
This I'm afraid is hopeless.
