Regarding my experience this summer with AA telling us I couldn't
'cradle hold' Sean to nurse him during take-off and landing and that we
had to do "chest-to-chest"...it was from 2 different attendants on 2
different legs of the flight. They described chest-to-chest as being
his head up against my collar bone. They said it was policy for
safety. I chose to continue bf when they left us alone. On at least
one other leg of the flight prior to takeoff a different attendant asked
again to be sure that I knew about how to hold my child during takeoff.
Now I wish I had investigated this. I'm wondering if that was because
he was 23 months at the time.
