Believe me, you will not belive how many copies I have sent, either to them, or the parents they teach that come to me. The one side per feeding is being taught by the Puerto Rico School of Medicine, Department of Maternal Child Health. It has a lot of credibility,,,former IBCLC, FABM and lots of other "fancy" titles...

I can make you a long list of all the inappropriate things they are teaching, but it would take me a couple of emails.

There is one pediatrician who is a CLE, who is very supporting of breastfeeding (mothers rather go to him than for a consultation). At least 1/2 his practices is using the SNS. So his wise thinkin tells him the mother's milk doesnt have enough fat...so now is two feedings per side...ahhhhhh. He has one more conference to go to become a FABM....yes, they also teach that if you assist to 3 ABM conferences you become FABM, and you dont have to be an IBCLC!!!

  Not easy!!!

Carmen says:

<<The problem is we have about 800 CLE's who are taught "one side per
feeding"...so you can imagine the chaos. >>

Carmen, can you get to whoever is teaching this and tell them that
they need
to change their teaching regarding this? Hard to change the 800
people that
have the wrong info, but maybe you could stop it at the source?
