Dear Lucy,

You are probably correct physiologically.  However, I was making a general 
point.  We do mostly "starve" women here IMO.  But, I'm not so sure I can 
accept a broad statement that's the reason babies are hypoglycemic.  I can 
think of others reasons off the top off my head.. ie. moms with Gestational 
diabetes, and some other reasons not so well known.

Do I think we jump the gun when it comes to supplementing  YOU BET!

I understand your point, and it would make a nice study..
