I have not been following the posts on this, so please slap me down if I
get this wrong, but I have never seen a situation where a formula
company makes some sort of "donation" and they don't get something out
of it.

Check the programmes when you go to the theatre (the spellings are
right, in Canada). You will see banks, insurance companies, aluminum
companies, any company but a formula company, listed as patrons, donors
etc. Any of you in Toronto, check the donor list for the new building
of the Hospital for Sick Children. I may have missed it, but I looked
and could not find an entry for any of the formula companies.

What does Ross get out of supplying pumps? The good will of some
lactation consultants. Encouraging the idea that pumps are necessary
for breastfeeding. An argument that they are pro breastfeeding.
