Hello all;

I am finishing my nursing degree and have been researching ankyloglossia
and breastfeeding.
I have found that nursing colleges do not include ankyloglossia in their
curriculum nor is it included in nursing text books.
What are your thoughts on nurses working with newborns and teaching
mothers to breastfeed without education on this common anomaly?

As part of my final paper I will write a policy statement on the lack of
nursing knowledge of ankyloglossia and propose education to maternal
-child nurses on this pertinent breastfeeding topic.

Your feed back will help me complete this final paper.
Thanks to you all in advance.
