This won't really answer the question you asked, but may still be a useful suggestion to this mom.  If the blisters spread, or if the pain of the one impacts toddler's ability to breastfeed well, mom can pump her milk and freeze it into popsicles (umm, there are other names for this in other countries, like I think maybe "ice block" and others?).  One mother I know did this when her toddler's mouth and throat were covered with blisters and the toddler hurt so much she couldn't nurse.  Mom was getting engorged, so she pumped.  The toddler loved the cool of the popsicles--felt very good on her sore mouth and throat--and of course, the breastmilk that got into the child this way was very good for her.
