Hi Linda and Rachel
I am sweating on the results of my Intrductory Biostatistics exam. I felt
OK about it in the end but it really does constitute a whole new way of
thinking for me. As scary as that is, it is also really exciting. This
link is amazing. It spells out some fundamental concepts really simply and
I am going to send it to the mathematicians who taught me last semester -
frankly asking a mathematician to understand how a non-mathematician learns
mathematics is like asking a frog to eat grass so I am on the lookout for
resources like these. I am also going to print it out and send it to all
the Research Assistants as well.
Who'da thunk maths would be so exciting!!
