I agree with you about the manufacturing of adult beds, Michelle. I
think we need to investigate all the ways a parent may co-sleep
safely with a child. This might well mean thinking about the design,
or the use, of the adult bed.

Do you have evidence that falling asleep with a  baby who is
breastfed increases the risk of death due to overlay, falling off the
bed, overheating, entrapment?

I don't know of evidence that shows this, so I'd be interested. We
do, of course, have evidence that shows a breastfed co-sleeping baby
may be *less* likely to be overlain, to fall, or overheat (Helen
Ball's work, mainly). I don't know about entrapment - I do recall a
study which showed babies were at risk of this when sleeping *alone*
in an adult bed.
