This from a mom who is concerned:
I told some of you that my left breast wasn't producing milk. I'm not sure I
told you that 6 year old said the milk there tasted bad. Well, I tried to
pump that side today, and the milk that came out was yellow!

I'm racking my brain trying to remember which happened first - 17 month old
refusing the left side or 6 year old saying it tastes bad, so I can figure
out
if it dried up because they weren't nursing on it and then it tasted bad, or
if it started to taste bad and then it dried up because they weren't nursing
on it, but I just can't remember.

Does anyone have any idea why the milk on one side would change color and
taste bad? Could it be because it dried up? I keep checking for
strange lumps, but don't feel any . . .

Also - I remembered some weeks ago I had a little pain
in that breast that went away after a week or so.
Maybe a minor infection? I've pumped a few times
today, and the milk is always yellow. Not thick or
foul smelling, but yellow and bad tasting. I've only
managed to get maybe 1/4 oz out (total), so maybe it's
all old milk? Also, when I squeeze some out by hand,
the drops that form on the nipple vary in color - in
some places it's more yellow than others.
