Thank you to everyone for all the words of wisdom. I was able forward all of the great information you provided to our WIC Director/Dietitian and the mother. Everyone is in agreement that the needs/concerns of the mother were not met here and she plans to look for a third opinion, but only from a doctor we know is breastfeeding friendly. Many of you asked more specifics about the baby. Baby: Developmentally advanced in many areas, none lacking; Birth weight was 6 lb 6 1/2 oz; So, she has not quite tripled weight; Was checked for Diabetes and Thyroid problems, both negative; No swallow study done, also no problems taking in solid food; Normal poop; Head measures at 87% and Height at 83%; Mom feels there is no problem, just wants to make sure her baby is getting everything she needs; Fathers side is extremely tall and lanky.

We will continue to give information and empower her to do what she feels is right.
Thank you all for everything you provide on Lactnet. I have learned so much from all of you:)
