Is there anyone who has experience with mothers with this condition?
The woman in question who has chronic glomerulonephritis is taking
cyclosporin, 200 mg daily, while pregnant, under close supervision of her
nephrologist. She is also taking prednisolone at a low dose (don't have the
number, sorry).

I am interested to know whether breastfeeding is absolutely contraindicated
as long as she is taking cyclosporin. Her illness responds poorly to
prednisolone only, and the increased dose she would need if she stopped the
cyclosporin, does not tempt her, as the side effects of the prednisolone are
so bothersome to her. She has a relaxed attitude to breastfeeding, would
prefer to do so, she breastfed her first child who was born before she
developed this condition, but feels fine about artificial feeding if her
medication poses a risk to the baby.

The nephrologist is checking through his network of colleagues, and I am
doing the same through mine. Please respond to the list so we can all learn
something.
