It sounds like vasospasm to me.  I had a similar case recently and I
searched vasospasm in the archives and came up with some good
information.  Based on that, the mother took Primrose oil for 2 weeks with
no improvement, (It has worked for other clients.) so she began Nifedipine.
The pain began to subside and by 3 weeks Mom was pain free.  As she
improved she cut down on the frequency of taking the med then, when the
pain was gone, she had no recurrence.

This was my first vasospasm case in which the client used Nifedipine.  She
has a history of Renauds so that may be why it was so resistent to the
usual treatment.

She is one happy mother now.
