Valerie's post contained the following link:

<Dr. May of LaTrobe
University has a chart of isolated contaminants from expressed human milk
that caused infection that is also illuminating. see table 5
http://www.latrobe.edu.au/microbiology/milk.html

Within that link, upon clicking on table one, not only was there an
amazingly long list of antibacterial factors:

Molecular Virology: Tables of Antimicrobial Factors and Microbial
Contaminants in Human Milk
Table 1: Antibacterial factors found in human milk

But within that section there was a link to a very stimulating (long)
article by Dr. Margaret Hamosh detailing:

Concentration of milk components in "Breastfeeding: unravelling the
mysteries of mother's milk" (requires completion of free registration to
Medscape)

There were 6 more tables there that I didn't dare let myself open now,
but have saved for some future time. This website appears to be a
goldmine for many Lactnetters, especially those of you trying to raise
awareness in NICU's (by posting and/or distributing to staff) and effect
hospital policies in general. I urge you not to skip it.

I have yet to delve into the second link given.

Thank you Valerie.
