Before I worked with Jack on our book, I did not realize that it is often
possible to get a baby breastfeeding after many weeks of bottlefeeding. I
had helped a couple of mothers get their babies "back to the breast" after a
few weeks, but I thought they were probably the exceptions.

When I have shared some of Jack's experiences with helping mothers, the
women I was working with seemed to relax. Knowing that they don't have to
fix it "today" takes the pressure off. Of course, it is important to keep
the milk supply up and continue offering the breast, but if the baby doesn't
latch on today, that's okay. Maybe tomorrow.

Perhaps this will also help the mother of triplets as she is probably
feeling pretty overwhelmed right now!
