As I re-read my comment about the power outage I realized it sounded very
callous and uncaring about the concerns of those without power.  That was
not my intent at all.  I sincerely apologize for that tone - it was not
intended as such, but that does not excuse sending off a flippant comment
like that to such a wide group.

Please allow me to apologize for the tone and potential misinterpretation of
my comment.

Katherine Shealy, with many immediate family members currently enjoying the
power provided by the gas generator my mother insisted on buying for Y2K and
got made fun of for.  She is now having the last laugh (again - it was used
in the ice storms as well!).
