For everyone upset over to recent juandice baby posts I wanted to let you know last week I saw a 4 day old baby who's billi went from 18.5 to 22.1 on a home blanket. I admitted him for over night double phototx lights becuase he seemed to be getting sluggish and feeding poorly. Thats all I did, kept him on breastmilk. His mom is the one I posted the hydrogel question for.
I've had a few other jaundice breastfeeders in the past few weeks, billis >18 and I made dietary interventions in all of them. Breastfeed 12 times a day not 8.
