Dr Hale:

I have a question related to floxin - a mother nursing a 12 month old ~6
times every 24 hours has been told by her physician to take floxin 400mg
twice a day for a "flare up of an upper respiratory infection" compounded by
her asthma. Your book says it is contraindicated in nursing moms under
normal circumstances. How does this situation sound to you? Her physician
insists that this is ok. Her pharmacist is hesitant. TIA, bunches
